Rocky Springs Campground, Natchez Trace Parkway, MS: Mar 4-5
This is a free no-hookup campground that is one of our favorite stops when we can get in. It was practically empty this time, but is often full of winter visitors parked for a night or two before continuing north. Our favorite hiking trail, which takes you down a stretch of the Sunken Trace to the remains of the town of Rocky Springs, was closed (no reason given) so we satisfied ourselves by walking around the cg. We drove into nearby Port Gibson to gas up the truck, shop for groceries, and see if we could find an Internet connection.# posted by Doug and Willie @ 2:50 PM
