Mathis Motor Inn & RV Park, Mathis, TX: Jan 18-19
This stop was at a Passport America park halfway to our next destination. It is near some areas of interest to birders, so we went out for a small bird walk at the City of Corpus Christi Wildlife Sanctuary, located at Lake Corpus Christi, in order to tune up our rusty birding skills. We needed to prepare for birding South Texas, a major world-class birding area. We had a pleasant walk and felt good about our abilities, considering how long it had been since our last real birding outing.# posted by Doug and Willie @ 7:47 AM
